I love a good Pinterest Pantry, don’t you? I could look at photos of perfectly organized pantries for hours.
Let be honest, though, those perfect pantries would be very temporary at my house, but hey! I can dream, can’t I?
The pantry is one of the most high traffic areas in a home. We try to keep it organized, really we do. But for all the time we spend taking everything out and putting it back in there isn’t anything to show for it in a matter of days…or even hours!
Sometimes it seems like the harder I try to keep the pantry perfectly neat, the harder it is to actually do.
If this happens to you too, it’s okay. I feel you, Sister.
Thankfully, we have Amazon to save the day! Over the years I have found products that have made our pantry much easier to keep organized from day to day. I want to share six of them with you.
6 Components of an Organized Pantry
1. Wire baskets
My favorite thing about my pantry might be these copper wire baskets. The possibilities here are endless! I use wire baskets for all kinds of things, and the main reason is because I can see into them without having to pick them up. LazyĀ Efficient, right?
A quick glance is all it takes for me to know if I have an extra bottle of ketchup for dinner or not (that would be in the ‘Up and Comers’ basket). When we are grabbing snacks for school in the morning, I don’t have to rummage through any boxes to know if we have enough granola bars to get us through the week. I can see it. Right there on the shelf.
Wire baskets can also be painted to match your decor, if you’re one of those people who needs their pantry to match the style of the kitchen. I am more or less one of those people.
Amazon has a lot of options and they are all super cute!
2. Mesh baskets
Mesh baskets make a great storage option for things like onions and potatoes. I even keep my plastic grocery sacks in one for easy access.
They allow for air to pass through, but contain onion flakes and dirt so it doesn’t get all over the pantry floor. Mesh baskets are easy to clean, and like wire baskets they can be painted to match the rest of the pantry or kitchen. You can get themĀ HERE
3. Clear air-tight containers
Containers like this are obviously very practical.
We don’t eat a lot of cereal, but I also use these containers for chips and pretzels. Why? Because little hands have a lot of trouble clipping the chip bag correctly, and I don’t like to eat stale chips. The small opening at the top of the container also helps cut down on spills.
We cook A LOT at our house. Because these containers are handled by every family member at various times throughout the week,Ā I am much more comfortable with plastic than glass.
If you are super serious about organizing your whole pantry, you can get a whole set of containers HERE.
4. Chalkboard Labels
Chalkboard labels are great for pantry organization because you can change what’s written on them. There are all kinds of fun phrases to use on your labels.
There are about a thousand different choices, but if you want sticker labels I would suggest getting some that are a little larger like THESE.
THESEĀ are also great because the board is smoother and my writing doesn’t look so grainy on them.
5. Additional Shelving
Some pantry shelving is just not sufficient for what I’m trying to store. If you have this problem, or simply need more surface area in your pantry, you can always add shelving like THIS.
We use a similar shelf at the bottom of our pantry to store egg cartons for my son’s egg business. You can read more about that HERE.
6. Tea Holder
Okay this is one of the coolest things I have bought in a while…which makes me realize I am a full blown adult and now get excited about things I once found mundane and pointless.
But this tea holder!!
I like that it stands upright and is just a little wider than a cereal box so it can slide into a narrow opening pretty easily. It displays what tea options I have without taking up a lot of surface area (which my small pantry does not have much of).
There’s no denying that an organized pantry is easier to navigate and manage, and organizing your pantry doesn’t have to cost hundreds of dollars. Any of these six products from Amazon will help you save space, and manage your pantry much more efficiently for less than $40.
What space saving organizational products do you use in your pantry? Let me know in the comments!
